The place
In the north of Fuerteventura, in Corralejo.
Fuerteventura
At 1,659 km² it is the second largest of the Canary Islands after Tenerife. Temperatures rarely drop below 18 °C or rise above 26 °C, and the coast has more than 150 beaches, with 50 kilometres of fine white sand.
Sea and sport
Summer trade winds and winter Atlantic swells make the island a year-round paradise for surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing. Sailors, divers and anglers find clear Atlantic waters, with dolphins and turtles.
Inland
Much of the interior, with plains and volcanic ridges, is protected land: explore it off-road, on foot or by bike.
Corralejo
The harbour for boats to Lobos Island, the Dunes Natural Park a few minutes away, restaurants and services all year round.
